A work-in-progress showcase and behind-the-scenes of Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design 13 (ICAD) identity, an annual event and exhibition that showcases and initiates collaborations across various disciplines, including fashion, film, design, and more. In its 13th edition, ICAD embraced 'Feel-Good-Lab' as its curatorial manifesto, centred on the joy of creative experimentation, play, and tinkering—whether driven by curiosity or challenge. The Tavia Collection is a compilation of hotels whose concept is inspired by the unique culture of Jakarta. Initiated by the Jakarta Experience Board, its aim is to enhance Jakarta's tourism and cultural aspects. The design of the Tavia Collection brand books is intended to ensure excellent readability while embodying a sense of visual playfulness that reflects the spirit of the brand identity. A modern and experimental take on Japanese bar and diner Hasaka in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hasaka's brand identity and system are designed to be structured while still retaining a sense of fluidity. The super graphic is derived from the distinct part of the logo - combined and reconstructed to create a graphic family with many configurations. On the other hand, the use of monochromatic colors suggests a sense of maturity. More info

'The year of The Tiger' is an initiative project done collectively by all of Studiowoork's team members, from designers to non-designer associates. This initiative celebrated The Lunar New Year: a festivity where a family would gather and feast, hence, deliberately ascribing the usage of a ceramic plate as the medium. On this particular occasion, free from any designated brief, each of Studiowoork's team members is tasked to pour out any form of graphical response that symbolizes tiger. An inspired mid-century modern graphic for Namelaka's 2022 Christmas hampers design. Derived with a brief that requires warmth and joyful characteristic in equal measure - the art direction is purposely infused with the colorful Bauhaus touch to achieve such seeable intentions. The combinations of geometric shapes & gradation give a delicate visual hint of a pine tree during the winter sunset. This collection of hampers ranges from multiple cake boxes, labels & greeting cards. More Info

On August 17th, Indonesia celebrates its Independence Day, commemorating its freedom from the Netherlands in 1945. This year, Studio Woork was chosen to design the identity for Indonesia's 77th independence day. We collaborated with non-designers to develop the identity, focusing on a dynamic 77 logo that represents seven core principles and prayers for the nation.
